Before boarding the Ship our group caught the Ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island where we had the chance to experience The Eco Zip Adventure tour. The zip lining was a highlight with spectacular views. We finished off with an amazing lunch at the Tantalus Vineyard.
On board the guest entertainers were excellent & the Ship has many tantalizing dining options. I was enticed by the dishes from well-known chef Curtis Stone featuring meats, seafood & vibrant flavours. The sterling steakhouse (specialty dinning) also has the highest quality cuts of premium grain feed beef, New York strip steak, porterhouse & fillet migeon.
The wheelhouse bar is a good spot to catch up with friends or fellow travellers, the legends sports bar is great to test your karaoke skills & dance the night away. The Rivera deck is also a great place to hang out next to the pool & watch movies under the stars on the big screen.
I experienced a balcony stateroom which gives you the opportunity to enjoy your outdoor space & relaxing views. It is also perfect to enjoy cocktails before dinner or a leisurely breakfast. The Cabins also have scientifically engineered mattresses & bed springs as to ensure you come home feeling refreshed & renewed.
Princess brings the world closer with voyages to over 360 destinations spanning nearly every continent. I would recommend princess cruises for the 50+ age group & would be great for a group of friends travelling together, partners or solo traveller.
